This week's game will mark just the fourth time that Auburn and New Mexico State have met on the gridiron, all since 1993. After being down 7-3 after one quarter in 1993, Auburn rattled off 35 unanswered points to lead 38-7 at half. The Tigers would run away with the 55-14 homecoming victory. The Aggies would return to the Plains in 2007 to face another big defeat, falling 55-20. This game was rather close at halftime, however, as New Mexico State trailed 21-20 at the break. The 2012 game was different all around, as it was only the Tigers' second of three victories on the season. Despite the poor record, Auburn ran away with the game against NM State from the beginning, leading 28-0 before the Aggies finally scored their lone points early in the 4th quarter.
