This was a first for everyone involved. Rick Garboski, a Monday Qualifier into @hoagclassic, ran out of golf balls on his 13th hole Saturday after hitting two in the lake. Nobody else in his group was playing the same make/model golf ball so a rules official had to bring him out new golf balls from his locker. He received two separate penalties and moved to the group behind his, but was not a DQ. Garboski took the error in stride!
