Did you know that every Girls on the Run team completes a community impact project? The Community Impact Project is a critical component of the Girls on the Run program, as it provides an opportunity for the girls to use the skills they have developed and enhanced over the course of the program and apply effort over time towards a goal. The planning and implementation of the Community Impact Project is driven by the participants! Over the seasons we have seen many different community impact projects - a bake sale to raise money for nearby hospital, writing cards for seniors, cleaning up a local park, a penny drive to buy running shoes for other GOTR girls, and more!
