Happy Disability History Month!💛 UKDHM invites all of us to learn about and celebrate the history of the crucial civil rights movements led by Disabled Britons, as well as to truly engage with the diverse and vibrant Disabled communities of today. The theme of Disability History Month 2023 is ‘Disability, Children, and Youth’. This calls for particular attention to the lived experiences of Disabled children and young adults, as well as young carers who provide support to members of Disabled communities. There are dozens of events students can get involved in this month. This includes a range of Give It a Go events, from Plant Pot Making to relaxed movie screenings! There will also be a plethora of Student Group socials to get involved with, such as ukcstandup Neuro-Insurgence Open Mic Night taking place on Friday 1 December!
