In the wake of a scathing House Ethics Committee report released Thursday, New York Rep. George Santos announced he will not be running for reelection. In the report sent to the Justice Department, the committee claimed to have “overwhelming evidence” of lawbreaking by Santos. It concluded the Republican “cannot be trusted” after a monthslong investigation into his conduct.
