Gia knew it would benefit her professionally to get work experience as a student so that she has leg up when she graduates. Now, she has a strong network of Vandals that she can go to. Gia Mazzarella (giamazzarella) is a fourth-year student at the University of Idaho earning a B.F.A. in Studio Art and Design alongside a minor in Advertising. With an emphasis in Graphic Design, she is currently the editor-in-chief of UI’s own Blot Magazine (blotmag). She joined the Blot team in her sophomore year as a designer where she eventually climbed the ranks to editor-in-chief. During her junior year, she worked for the University of Idaho as a graphic designer for the MyUI student dashboard.
