It's
#nationalpreemieday and I can't let the day go by without sharing our journey.
Our sweet little
#supertrout wanted to start his party a little too early when my water broke at 26 weeks. We were life flighted to Stanford where I spent three weeks with an amazing team of doctors
"holding him in" and helping him grow. He decided to come at 29 weeks and one day weighing less than three pounds. A week after he was born he got to come back to the wonderful NICU at Dominion Hospital. We spent nine long weeks but the nurses and Doctors were absolute angles and made the scariest time of my life just a little easier. We are so blessed to have such loving and supportive family and friends who did absolutely anything to help comfort us and stand vigil over our Trouty. There is still so much emotion from that time. It was such a private emotional rollercoaster, so much fear, worry, education, exhaustion and hope.
Thrilled to say this resilient, funny, healthy and beautiful guy is just THRIVI...
