Simone Louise Pinet de Borde des Forest was a French racing driver, and was one of the first women to obtain a driving licence in France, in 1929. She then began a career as a professional racing driver, taking part in numerous car races and rallies until 1957, including the Mille Miglia, the 24 Hours of Spa, the Monte-Carlo Rally.
Her name is also the origin of a popular French expression: βEn voiture Simone!β
