In about 4 months of being with MTSU rahar_aj has been in charge of coaching, implementing and progressing C.A.R.S into the program. Our guys Arre very intentional about executing the movements and we have seen great results. Here is a snapshot of some of the dos and don’ts .

The Hip Axial is a great movement to have athletes learn for joint health/maintenance and is our first movement in our progression before doing Hip CAR’s.
There are some common mistakes out there that I see with the execution of these movements.
Common mistake
#1
Bringing the leg in front of the body which takes tension off of the working hip
Correction

Hug that directly up to the same side shoulder to keep as much tension as possible on the tissue of the hip.

Setting the foot down first before the knee during internal rotation takes tension off of the targeted tissues of the working hip.
