POV: you are partying with NWSL champion Ali Krieger. If that phrase sounds familiar, you probably remember I started this year taking a beautifully painted soccer ball out for a coffee date in Seattle. I am ending the year in a similar manner: sharing a few of my favorite photos from the NWSL championship game with some of my inner commentary. Somehow I ended up photographing two players that made me pick up a camera in their final game - a final between my adult hometown team vs my childhood hometown team. What an honor it has been to photograph the World Cup, the 2023 season, and NWSL championship for the league this year.
