Last one was a fast one 😤 I’ve been swimming since I was 3 and really been in the water longer than that. I always loved it, so competing in college was something I dreamed of since I was little. Unfortunately my career didn’t quite line up with what 10 year old Daniel dreamed of, with 4 surgeries limiting me to spending more time standing on deck watching than actually swimming over the 4 years. However I’ve grown and learned a ton through it, and while yes I wish I could’ve done more in the pool for lumensswimming, I am content in how it ended with friends and family there watching my final race yesterday. God always has a plan even through the darkest moments when surgeries don’t go as planned and life gets flipped on it’s head. Swimming has given me great memories and even better friends I will cherish the rest of my life.
