**About the Role**

The Associate Development Program is a paid 12-month full-time (temporary) experience designed for early-career individuals or those beginning their professional careers. A bachelor’s degree, relevant certification, or a combination of related education and experience aligned with the responsibilities of the role is required. Relevant coursework, training, or equivalent experience is valued. The format allows for structured professional development and hands-on learning. 

We are seeking a seasonal photographer who is passionate about football to help lead projects, develop creative assets, assist our full-time photographer, and edit photos for our digital media properties. This role is located out of our headquarters, Halas Hall in Lake Forest, IL, plus frequent work at Soldier Field, with the ability for some remote work as well.

**Responsibilities**

* Photograph community and special events  
* Apply metadata to photos  
* Maintain image archives  
* Assist with building photo galleries from training camp, practices, gameday, and other various club events   
* Edit, retouch photos for various media platforms (social, digital, etc.)  
* Coordinate daily art content, find, and suggest compelling images, develop templates  
* Communicate with staff to ensure social needs are met  
* Support full time photographers on gameday by running card and uploading photos for use on social and other platforms  
* Other duties as assigned  

**Qualifications**

* Degree in photography, digital media, journalism, or related field, relevant certification, or a combination of related education and experience aligned with the responsibilities of the role are required.
* Previous experience in sports preferred  
* Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience including proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Photo Mechanic. Experience using Photoshelter a plus  
* Ability to conceptualize and demonstrate skillful storytelling, strong decision making and the ability to produce and distribute work in real time, while working with the Bears brand team on long-term projects  
* Strong knowledge of current social media trends  
* Ability to communicate ideas clearly and handle feedback with ease  
* Ability to show engagement and collaboration with departments across the Bears organization   
* Strong teamwork aptitude and intrinsically motivated by the desire to see a group succeed as opposed to individual accolades.  
* Confident and disciplined work ethic to produce efficiently on tight deadlines   
* Possess excellent relationship building and communication skills to include the ability to gain the trust of players, coaches and staff required.   
* Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays  
* Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to various sites and events across the Chicagoland area

**COMPETITIVE INDUSTRY PAY**

The Photography Associate is a full-time temporary position. This position is an hourly role. The expected hourly rate for this role is $22 per hour. Please note, due to job function, regular overtime (paid as time-and-a-half) **is** expected.

PHOTOGRAPHER ASSOCIATE

As our Marketing Associate, you’ll hone your sports marketing skills by working across the department on the planning and execution of a variety of fan- and brand-building programs. Reporting into the Manager of Fan Development and Brand Marketing, your work will directly support the Marketing department’s objectives of driving growth of the Bears fan base, increasing the relevance of the Bears brand, and deepening our relationships with current fans. Candidates who are most successful in this role bring strong collaboration and communication skills, are well organized with their time and work, and offer fresh ideas and perspective on ways to grow our brand. This role works out of our headquarters, Halas Hall, located in Lake Forest, IL; however, travels throughout the greater Chicago(land) area with the ability for some remote work. In addition, the associate will be required to work all home games at our Soldier Field stadium location.

Responsibilities

* Fan Development and Brand MarketingInitiatives 
* Help manage the day-to-day execution of key fan development initiatives (primarily the Chicago Bears Kids Club and Baby Bears,Bears Headquarters Bars Program and watch parties, among others) 
* Ideate and request new content ideas that drive engagement with members of the Kids Club and Baby Bears throughout the year 
* Drive engagement with Bears Headquarters Bars and execute our monthly watch parties throughout the year
* Manage the execution of sweepstakes and other programming that drive Club membership growth and deeper engagement with Club members 
* Support year-round customer service, reporting, event planning, and gameday activation for the Chicago Bears Kids Club and Baby Bears programs 
* Work internally to build and deploy monthly newsletters to members of the Kids Club and Baby Bears programs 
* Serve as the “on-site team lead” for event and game day activations for the Kids Club, Baby Bears, Bears Headquarters Bars and watch parties' programs
* Manage and grow the nationwide Bears Bars database by filtering new submissions, identifying new establishments, managing giveaway items, and creating promotional strategies.
* Support Fan Development and Brand Marketing with ideation and execution of net new concepts (brand marketing, retail, international) tailored to expand the brand and reach new fanbases
* Marketing Department Support 
* Work with Fan Development and Brand Marketing as well as Integrated Marketing and Digital Marketing to ensure promotional asset needs are met to support Chicago Bears Kids Club and Baby Bears, Bears Headquarters Bars Program and watch parties
* Assist in development of recaps for various Marketing initiatives, including collecting and communicating metrics 
* Assist in ordering, tracking, and inventory management of departmental merchandise and other resources 
* Occasional data entry from game days and various fan initiatives 
* Perform additional duties assigned  

Qualifications

* Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sport Management or related field 
* Strong understanding of business, brand marketing and advertising principles through school or work experience 
* Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to always work on multiple projects  
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including written and oral correspondence, and the ability to adapt to various personalities 
* Ability to complete assignments in a very detailed and thorough manner. 
* Basic understanding and working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and PowerPoint)  
* Exposure to or experience with email marketing software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Eloqua, Marketo, etc.) a plus 
* Basic HTML coding ability a plus 
* Prior sports experience a plus 
* Prior copywriting or other digital/social content development experience a plus
* Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including weekends and evenings    
* Some travel to events within the Chicagoland area, as needed 
* Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time in varying weather conditions, climb up/downstairs, lift heavy objects

MARKETING ASSOCIATE

The Football Development Associate is responsible for assisting with the implementation of youth football, high school football, girls flag football and NFL Flag football programming, coordination of community events, appearances and department administrative duties. The Football Development department focuses on growing the game of football by making it accessible and inclusive from grassroots to advanced levels, locally and internationally.  This role works out of our headquarters, Halas Hall, located in Lake Forest, IL; however, travels frequently throughout the greater Chicago(land) area with the ability for some remote work. In addition, the associate will be required to work all home games at our Soldier Field stadium location.

**Responsibilities**

* Assist the Football Development team with coordination, execution and build awareness of key programs, including Mini Monsters (youth football), Mini Monsters Tackle (youth tackle football) and Monsters Flag (flag football) and respective on-site clinics
* Participate in planning and execution of high school and flag football tournaments (Nike 11On & Girls Flag Nike 7s) and coaches clinics for youth, high school, and girls flag football
* Assist with implementation of coaches and players recognition programs such as Coach of the Week, Player of the Week and Community High School All-Stars
* Provide support for regular Football Development department lives impacted metrics, tracking and reporting
* Manage the submission process for department internal content requests for photography, video, brand creative, etc.
* Help promote Chicago Bears clinics via social media channels and in person events
* Occasionally drive the Mini Monsters Truck including loading and unloading equipment of a min of 50lbs.
* Manage distribution and collection of post clinic surveys for Mini Monsters and Monsters Flag
* Assist with football development events, community events and player relations 
* Prepare gift bags for visiting groups
* Assist with gameday recognitions, scrimmages, and activations
* Provide input for the Bears annual Community publication 
* Research new ideas and initiatives for Football Development programs 
* Provide administrative support to the FD team including organizing storage areas, ordering supplies, filing, data entry, mailings, copying, etc.  
* Perform additional duties and special projects assigned  

**Qualifications**

* Passion for working with youth and the community at large 
* Experience coaching and/or participating in youth sports is preferred (not required)
* Must be organized, detail oriented and able to use good judgment 
* College degree preferred (not required)
* Strong computer skills including Windows based applications and Microsoft programs  
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to work with and develop relationships with diverse groups 
* Must be dependable, flexible and able to adapt to a variety of situations 
* Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment  
* Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including weekends and evenings  
* Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time in varying weather conditions, climb up/down stairs, lift heavy objects 
* This role involves driving on behalf of the club. Candidates must be **eligible for coverage under the company’s commercial vehicle insurance policy**, which currently requires drivers to be **23 years of age or older**, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet established motor vehicle record criteria.
* Reliable transportation is required for this role.
