**ABOUT THE ROLE  
\*\*This is not a role with the Philadelphia Union first team, second team, or Academy\*\***    

The Philadelphia Union Youth is a premier training program that provides year around clinics, camps and affiliate training.  This part-time staff coach position will report directly to the Union Youth Director and provide supplemental training programs including goalkeeper coaching for programs such as camps, clinics and club training.  A pivotal part of this role will be to deliver the Union Youth methodology through organized training sessions. 

  
The Union Youth Training Programs are currently looking to add new and experienced coaches to our staff. In conjunction with the Union Youth Director, this individual will assist and provide input into the Union Youth Developmental Curriculum. Core to the role is the ongoing positive promotion of the Philadelphia Union through soccer organizations and communities.

**WHAT CAMPS & PROGRAMS DO WE OFFER?**  
Union Youth Soccer Camps & Programs are designed to meet players where they are in terms of development. The camps & programs offered throughout the year include UTrain, Union Camps, Union Tournaments, and the Player Pathway Program.  
  
**UTRAIN  
**Philadelphia Union provide youth programs and clinics which are designed to provide a series of training sessions that allow the Union to connect with local clubs and the soccer community. The UTrain Program offers programs for all level of players looking to train outside of their club environment. The programs range from beginner to elite level and delivered under the instruction of the Philadelphia Union Youth coaching staff.  
  
**UNION CAMPS  
**Union Youth Soccer Camps are designed for ages 6 to 14 years old.  All camps are designed to create a professional & engaging environment for players to learn and improve their game.  
  
**PLAYER PATHWAY PROGRAM  
**The Philadelphia Union Youth Player Pathway Program (PPP) provides supplemental development training (club neutral) by creating a player-centered learning environment for advanced level boys and girls ages U10—U14. The Union Youth is also part of the identification program for the Union Academy.

  
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

*   Conduct oneself in a professional manner as a representative of the Philadelphia Union.
*   Lead and/or assist trainings within the greater Philadelphia area 1 to 5 times a week, depending on availability and willingness to work. With the exceptions of summer camps and holiday clinics, goalkeeper trainings typically occur within the timeframe of 5-9 pm on weeknights. 
*   Advise, educate and provide development opportunities to the affiliate clubs.
*   Provide the Youth Director with weekly reports on programs directly involved in.
*   Oversee onsite programs and manage youth programs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

*   On-field and Goalkeeper experience - playing and/or coaching. 
*   Coaching license and/or goalkeeper license - preferred, **but not required if candidate shows proficiency in the additional areas below.**
*   A passion for coaching and developing grassroots level players.
*   Strong communications skills and ability to educate.
*   Have own transportation.
*   Willingness to attend coaching education, learn directly from the Youth Director, and have a growth mindset. 
*   An ability to think and plan strategically, as well as the ability to adjust on the fly and be autonomous in training sessions.
*   A team player, with an ability to operate as part of an integrated multi-functional management team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**  
The Academy Scout will play a key role in the identification, evaluation, recruitment, and tracking of elite youth talent for the Philadelphia Union Academy. Working under the direction of the Academy Director and Head of Academy Scouting, this position will support the administration and execution of the Academy's scouting and recruitment strategy while helping oversee the club's scouting network, processes, residency program coordination, and talent identification initiatives.  
  

As an integrated member of the Philadelphia Union's Professional Scouting Department, the Academy Scout will operate within the club's unified scouting structure and contribute to the professional pathway from Academy through Union II and the First Team. The role will focus on managing and overseeing the scouting and recruitment process across local, regional, and national domestic markets to identify high-potential players who fit the Philadelphia Union's player development model.  
  

**RESPONSIBILITES**  
_Scouting Operations & Talent Identification_

*   Manage the day-to-day scouting and recruitment operations of the Philadelphia Union Academy.
*   Ensure top talent within the Union's designated catchment area is identified, monitored, and evaluated.
*   Coordinate scouting assignments and improve scouting workflows to maintain consistency and efficiency.
*   Scout players through live match observation and video analysis across domestic and international competitions as assigned.
*   Analyze players and matches for the Academy, Union II, and First Team based on criteria established by the Director of Scouting.
*   Maintain strong player reference points and benchmarking standards for internal and external player comparisons.

*   Maintain and continuously expand the Academy scouting database.

_Network & Relationship Management_

*   Manage communication and operational structure within the Union Academy Scouting Network.
*   Develop and maintain relationships with youth clubs, coaches, agents, and key influencers throughout the domestic youth soccer landscape.
*   Communicate regularly with scouting contacts to identify emerging talent, trends, and opportunities.
*   Organize and facilitate scouting meetings, conference calls, and recruitment discussions.

  

_Collaboration & Strategic Planning_

*   Attend weekly and monthly meetings with the Philadelphia Union Professional Scouting Department.
*   Collaborate closely with the Director of Academy & Professional Development, Director of Scouting, Academy staff, Union II staff, and First Team personnel.
*   Support and help evolve the Academy's scouting strategy and philosophy in response to changes within the youth soccer ecosystem.
*   Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely and effective communication of scouting and recruitment information.

  

_Recruitment & Residency Support_

*   Assist with coordination and administration of the club's Residency Program.
*   Organize trialist visits and recruitment events.
*   Coordinate communication with YSC Academy leadership and relevant staff regarding prospective student-athletes and residency candidates.

  
**OTHER**

*   Respond to requests from club leadership on short notice when required.
*   Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
*   Frequent travel throughout the local, regional, and national youth soccer landscape.
*   Ability to attend matches, tournaments, showcases, and scouting events on evenings and weekends.
*   Ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods.

  

**QUALIFICATIONS**

*   Minimum of two (2) years of scouting experience within the soccer industry, preferably at the professional level.
*   Bachelor's degree or higher.
*   Extensive knowledge of local, regional, and national youth soccer environments, leagues, clubs, and associations.
*   Coaching and/or scouting certifications preferred.
*   Strong domestic and international soccer network.
*   Experience using scouting databases, video analysis software, and player evaluation tools.
*   Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
*   Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Athletic Trainer plays a critical role in the health, safety, and athletic development of Philadelphia Union Academy athletes. Working collaboratively with the Head of Athletic Training, Academy & Professional Development, Head of Health, team physicians, performance staff, and nutrition personnel, this position is responsible for delivering comprehensive sports medicine services that support athlete wellness, injury prevention, performance enhancement, and return-to-play outcomes.  
  
The Athletic Trainer serves as a leader within the Academy's sports medicine department, helping to maintain the highest standards of medical care while fostering a safe, healthy, and performance-driven environment for Academy athletes. The Philadelphia Union is committed to providing a world-class environment that supports athlete health, performance, and development through excellence in sports medicine and interdisciplinary collaboration.  
  
**RESPONSIBILITIES**  
_Athlete Care & Sports Medicine_

*   Provide comprehensive athletic training services for Philadelphia Union Academy athletes.
*   Deliver first aid, emergency care, injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services.
*   Design and implement individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
*   Apply appropriate therapeutic modalities and treatment techniques.
*   Facilitate medical referrals and coordinate care with physicians and healthcare providers as needed.
*   Monitor athlete progress and support safe return-to-play decisions.

_Collaboration & Athlete Development_

**QUALIFICATIONS**  
_Required_

*   Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, or a related field.
*   Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
*   Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
*   CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
*   Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.
*   Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
*   Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

  
_Preferred_

*   Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**  
The Manager, Housekeeping & Facility Operations is responsible for leading all custodial, housekeeping, and sanitation operations for Subaru Park and related Philadelphia Union facilities. This role plays a critical part in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for fans, players, staff, partners, and guests during MLS matches, concerts, private events, and day-to-day operations.  
  
Reporting within the Facilities & Operations team, the Manager, Housekeeping & Facility Operations will oversee event and non-event cleaning operations, manage staffing and vendor relationships, support operational readiness across the venue, and help drive long-term facility standards and efficiencies. This position offers strong opportunity for professional growth within venue operations, facilities management, and large-scale event operations.  
  
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

*   Manage all daily, overnight, and event-based housekeeping operations, including pre-event, event-time, and post-event cleaning for Subaru Park and related facilities.
*   Lead, train, schedule, and supervise full-time, part-time, and event-day housekeeping staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
*   Coordinate custodial coverage and operational readiness for MLS matches, concerts, community events, private functions, and non-soccer events.

*   Assist with developing and improving housekeeping procedures, operational workflows, and preventative cleaning programs.
*   Support stadium turnover operations and collaborate cross-functionally during high-volume events and rapid event conversions.
*   Promote and support sustainability initiatives, including recycling, waste-diversion, and environmentally responsible cleaning practices.
*   Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, equipment, and operational trends to continuously improve housekeeping and facility operations.

  
**QUALIFICATIONS**

*   3–5 years of housekeeping, custodial, facilities, or venue operations management experience, preferably in a stadium, arena, convention center, or large public venue.
*   Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
*   Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
*   Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt quickly in a dynamic operations environment.
*   Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, operational safety standards, and facility best practices.
*   Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable event schedules as required.

  
_Preferred_ 

*   Experience in professional sports, live entertainment, or large-scale public assembly venues.
*   Bilingual (English/Spanish).
*   Experience working in unionized and/or outsourced labor environments.
*   Exposure to facilities operations, event operations, or building systems management.
*   Interest in long-term growth within venue operations and facilities leadership.

  
_Physical Requirements_

*   Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and walk for extended periods.
*   Ability to lift, carry, and move objects (frequently up to ~50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
*   Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and in noisy, crowded environments.
