The Bat Boy/Girl position requires energetic people with a basic knowledge of baseball.  The position is essential to the game, as they will be tasked with retrieving foul balls and bats and supplying the home plate umpire with new baseballs.  Other pre- and post-game duties will also be assigned.  
  
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

*   Projects a professional appearance and manner
*   Provides the service of retrieving bats and baseballs from the playing field
*   Provides excellent service to the umpires, coaches, and players
*   Assists with moving / cleaning equipment and setting up / breaking down dugouts / bullpens
*   Performs other duties as assigned

  
**Qualifications**: 

*   Must be at least 16 years old with a strong knowledge of the game of baseball.
*   Strong communication skills preferred. 
*   Strong multi-tasking and time management skills. 
*   Must be able to work at least 50 games, including Opening Day.
*   Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry 30+ pounds as necessary. 
*   Initiative and has a hardworking, positive attitude. 
*   Ability to stand, sit, and walk for up to 5-6 hours.
*   Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. 
*   Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Bat Boy / Girl - Seasonal

**Summary**

The Hub City Spartanburgers are searching for hard working and driven individuals to assist with the care of Fifth Third Park during non-game hours. These individuals would work alongside our Ballpark Operations full-time staff performing various duties throughout the facility to maintain cleanliness and effective operations of the ballpark.  
  

 **Duties &** **Responsibilities:**

*   Assist Ballpark Operations staff with daily upkeep of Fifth Third Park.
*   Set up and tear down for events, ensure ballpark cleanliness, and perform other work inside and outside.
*   Minor duties around the ballpark, including fixing bathroom accessories, fixing seats, fixing door and gate repair, changing HVAC filters, and pressure washing.
*   Assist in Pre-Game, Game, and Post-Game cleaning operations when needed.
*   Assist with all stadium and office maintenance. 
*   Assist with checking the cleanliness of the seating bowl, concourse, restrooms, perimeter, group and hospitality areas, suite level, and other areas. 
*   Assist with daily cleaning of the stadium concourse and high-traffic areas. 
*   Assist with preparing the stadium for each event at Fifth Third Park. 
*   Support with janitorial employees, stadium inventories, stadium cleanup, clubhouse operations, and non-game day events.
*   Help with receiving shipments and organizing all storage areas. 
*   Putting up sponsorship banners, signs, and TVs. 

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

*   A positive attitude is a must.
*   Ability to multitask and handle responsibility.
*   Skills with various workshop tools are a plus.
*   Must be willing to get dirty.
*   Strong customer service skills.
*   Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
