A PARTY OF FIVE: When most couples go away for the first time, they might go to Montauk for a long weekend or a romantic getaway in the Catskills. But for our first trip, I threw Thomas into a Nickelodeon Resort with not only my 3 but with 16 other families and 30+ kids for 5 days 😬 Thomas not only managed to hold his own, but he fit right in and seemingly had a great time, “I’m not ready to go!” on our last night. My kids already in love with him, I got to witness how much closer they all got. Especially London—the last to always be impressed. 🧐 As a father doing this solo for so long, I found myself tearing up walking behind them holding hands. 🫶🏽 As someone who leans on the shy side, he didn’t even hesitate to get on a big stage to be part of a game show resulting in getting slimed. 🤮 that’s commitment 💪🏽 A favorite bit? In the time I’ve known him, I’ve never heard him raise his voice a decibel above what you all hear in his voice. His voice always sweet, trusting and unpretentious. Well you can imagine with 30+ kids there’s bound to be a few in the bunch off their rocker. One kid continuously disrespectful to adults, the teacher in him (or the I’m-over-it human in him) got up, raised his voice, and let this kid know how you should never disrespect adults in the way he was. Put this kid in his place. It was powerful and sexy that had everyone who witnessed on pause. When I tell you my heart skipped a beat and my body was doing double Dutch on the inside, this is not an exaggeration. Let’s just say I made sure we had fun later that night 😉 They say you have to travel with someone to know someone. To see if you travel well and communicate effectively. I’m ready to travel the world with this man. ✈️ Thomas and I often talk about how when we connected 3 years ago (March 2020) on a dating app, it was the pandemic, and where we were personally both just getting out of relationships is what didn’t have us go beyond some pleasantries.
