UPDATE: Fire crews will remain on scene mopping up throughout the night. The #QuailFire is estimated between 40-45 acres with forward progress confirmed stopped.

UPDATE: Forward progress has been stopped for the #QuailFire. We are happy to report all animals are safe at the Castaic animal shelter, no evacuations were needed thanks to the quick work of @LACOFD crews.

UPDATE: The #QuailFire has been updated to a 2nd alarm fire now at 20 acres. Please avoid the area and allow emergency vehicles to proceed through.
