Hartford Promise: College Scholarship

Nothing changes the trajectory of low-income students more than a college education. Hartford Promise is a large-scale College Scholarship and College Success Program for Hartford Public School students. Promise Scholars attending an accredited four-year college or university will receive up to $5,000/year for a total of up to $20,000 towards college. Promise Scholars attending an accredited two-year college will receive up to $2,500/year for a total of up to $5,000 towards college. More than 70% of Hartford students are low-income and many are the first in their family to go to college. The Hartford Promise Scholarship is a game changer - it not only helps students afford college, but also provides the key supports and services to help them succeed once they are there.
