For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @ziggyrabbit & @roileigh ✨ "Roileigh (BS '14) and I (BS '15, MBS '18) met through the Rutgers equestrian team in 2012, my sophomore and her junior year of undergrad. We consider our "friendaversary" November 3rd, or the night we shared a bedbug-ridden motel room while in PA for a horse show. We instantly bonded over a mutual love of animals and television shows. We were roommates for two years while in undergrad, allowing frequent movie and TV marathons between horse shows and classes. Roileigh and I were SEBS animal science majors and graduated from Rutgers in 2014 and 2015, respectively. We both remained in NJ for two years after my graduation, during which time I completed a masters at Rutgers. In 2017, we suddenly found ourselves 5000 miles apart and attending veterinary schools on different continents. Despite our geographic separation, the friendship we built at Rutgers never faltered.
