HOF member Charlie Sifford was the first African American to play on the pgatour. He broke barriers so minority golfers could have the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. This is the first in a series of videos to commemorate Mr. Sifford’s life, the award named in his honor, and highlight a few recipients of the ‘Charlie Sifford Award presented by southerncompany’ during Black History Month.
