The next woman we want to highlight during #WomensHistoryMonth is dottie_pepper. Dottie was born in Saratoga Springs, New York. In 1981, at the age of 15, she won both the N.Y.S. Girls’ Junior and N.Y.S. Women’s Amateur Championships, becoming the only woman in NYSGA history to accomplish that feat. When she won the Women’s Amateur title at Rome Country Club, she became the youngest champion in the history of the tournament. After a successful junior career and earning a trio of All-American honors at Furman University, Dottie joined the lpga_tour in 1987. She went on to win 17 tour events, including two major championships. Dottie currently resides in Saratoga Springs and works as an on-course reporter for cbssports.
