On This Day: April 26th Our Class of 1992 Professional Player Inductee, Bruce Crampton broke out of a crowded field with a final-round 65 for a one-shot victory over Chi Chi Rodriguez and Bob Charles in the 1964 Texas Open Invitational. After the first round, 10 players were tied for the lead, a PGATOUR record. Rodriguez needed a par on the final hole to force a playoff and birdie for an outright win, but his eight-foot par putt fell short.
