It’s time to celebrate the #RUClassOf2022 as they transition to their next chapter! Over the next few weeks, we will share stories from our soon-to-be graduates about how their time at Rutgers has shaped them into who they are today. Meet Tatyana Aguilar, a graduating senior at @rutgersartsandsciences majoring in Public Health. “I grew exponentially in my time at Rutgers, I was battling with mental illness and the transition from high school to college took a huge toll on me. I was experiencing imposter syndrome since I wasn’t getting the grades I used to get in high school as an honors and AP student. I convinced myself I didn’t belong here and that there was no room for someone like me at the table. I spent a lot of time in my room depressed and feeling alone. But it was in this difficult year that I met my mentors, other amazing staff and faculty, and my best friends. My best friends motivated me and pushed me to do better.
