For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Steve & Emily ✨ "Emily and Steve met at The Daily Targum, where she was Associate Copy Editor and he was Sports Editor. She's been catching and protecting Steve from his own mistakes ever since. Our experience at The Targum together, and with the entire 142nd Editorial Board, make up the core memories of our time together at Rutgers. We launched careers at Rutgers, but we also created relationships that will last a lifetime -- especially ours. We met in 2009, graduated in 2012 and '13, and married in 2016. Another Targum couple, Ramon and Jovelle, shot our engagement photos at some of our favorite Rutgers spots and eventually our wedding in Savannah, GA. Emily and Steve now live about 20 minutes from campus and come back frequently for football and basketball games, or lunch at Hansel 'n Griddle.
