Yesterday marked 51 years since Dean Richard P. McCormick (RC'38, GSNB'40) and professor Phyllis Boring recruit the help of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to force coeducation at Rutgers College. Then a professor at Rutgers Law School in Newark, Ginsburg, would later become a United States Supreme Court Justice. She writes to interim president Richard Schlatter, warning him that a recent federal court decision "renders Rutgers College vulnerable" to legal action if it refuses to admit women.
