Did you know that Rutgers bought a 256-acre plot of land across the Raritan River in 1935 for a new Rutgers Stadium? ⬇️ This aerial shot of what is now known as Busch Campus was taken in the 1930s. The Rutgers Stadium may be seen in the photo's center. Robert F. Ochs (RC'49) recalls watching the stadium rise as a youngster: "I remember watching that stadium go up. I used to have a paper route up there, from Highland Park, out as far as where they were building the Rutgers Stadium. Those guys were my last customers and I could get a ride home every night by holding on to the back of a dump truck." #DYKRutgers | #RutgersPride | #RURahRah ⚔️
