For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @vaishaleehowey & Keith ✨ "Keith and I met our Fall semester of Freshman year in 2004 at a Halloween party. It was your typical college party with ridiculous costumes. I was dressed as an "army" girl and Keith was Barney (the big purple dinosaur). One of his friends called out that we weren't real army personnel, but that Keith was (Keith had recently come back from serving in Iraq as part of the Army). While our friends danced the night away, we struck up an intense conversation about politics, social justice, and everything in between - not your typical "hey - I just met you" conversation. Shortly after that night, we started dating and the rest is history. We got married in 2012, had our daughter in 2015 and our son in 2017. Had we not met, our Rutgers experience would not have been the same and this beautiful life we have created together would not exist."
