For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @james.lewis.v & @sharmaine.lewis_is ✨⁣ ⁣ “Sharmaine and I are alumni of the RU Honors Program. We met during orientation and in a show of her academic prowess Sharmaine bested me and all of the honors students in the program and won a trivia contest. From that point on, we were best friends. We took honors courses together, enjoyed the finest of dining from Busch campus to Tillett hall, and plotted out ways we would lead, love and serve our communities. After graduation, I travelled to NY to attend law school. She graduated with a Mathematics/Statistics degree and joined Teach for America in Newark, NJ. Today, I am an attorney in NY and NJ, and serve as the Executive Director for the NYC Bar Association, Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Sharmaine is an educator and a HS Principal in Newark, NJ. We have two kids James Aedan (8) and Journey (4). Next year, we will celebrate 10 years of marriage!”⁣ ⁣ #RutgersPride #RURahRah ⚔️
