For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Jeremiah & Laurie ✨ "August99-Jeremiah & I were living on Campbell 5. Jer was on the Wrestling Team and had surgery for a broken leg. That summer after going to 6Flags we got a flat tire. My dad was going to come out and help us but spoke to Jer. 15 min later we were on our way. My dad always teased me that I have to marry the guy that changed my tire on the side of 287 in a wheelchair! My sister even told him at Maritas Cantina that he was going to marry me someday LOL! In 2006, we lost my dad to cancer. I walked into the church for the funeral and Jer was there! Some time later we met at Clydes and I spilled a full beer on his lap! He got over it LOL! At a 2010 RU Football tailgate party Jer proposed and we married 2011! We are raising 2 big RU fans, Maggie(7) and Ryan(5) and are blessed to be surrounded by our Rutgers friends who have become family. My dad saw it all those years ago and he was right!" #RutgersPride #RURahRah ⚔️
