For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @bernbabybernnn & @katieperullo ⚔️⁣ ⁣ "Katie and I had a friendship meet-cute in Fall 2012 when, while separately running the Big Chill, we both slowed down in Buccleuch Park. I asked her if she wanted to walk to the finish line with me and we exchanged some light conversation but I never thought I’d see her again. Fast-forward to Spring 2014, when I was hired as an Orientation Leader with Katie. I couldn’t tell why she looked so familiar--she was an Engineering student and I was a Music student--until we realized we had finished the Big Chill together years earlier! We were roommates that summer and spent the rest of our time at Rutgers making memories at football games, bed races, Dance Marathons, and Club Alex. Since graduating in 2016 we have stayed close friends and I loved visiting Katie at her new home in San Diego in 2019. Our friendship feels like it was destined to be.
