Did you know that Dr. Oscar Auerbach's research led to the cigarette warning?⁣ ⁣ Dr. Oscar Auerbach was a pathologist who would serve for more than 30 years on the faculty of what is now @Rutgers_NJMS. ⁣ Dr. Auerbach's work was brought to national attention in 1964, when it was prominently cited in the first Surgeon General's report about the dangers of smoking. With the results from his work published, they were immediately debated and had powerful long-term effects.
