For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have⁣ @alex_bee_ & @philmurp ✨⁣ ⁣⁣ "Phil and I met over winter break of 2012, when he was a sophomore and I was a junior. We both went on the Rutgers Habitat for Humanity trip to St. Petersburg, Fl and started dating not long after. On that trip, Phil and I bonded over the fact that we both like to be active and when we got back, he convinced me to sign up for the Rutgers Unite half marathon, where he ran the whole thing by my side. I graduated in 2013 and luckily got a job in New Brunswick so while he was finishing his senior year, we were still able to spend a lot of time together. In the years following his graduation, we traveled the world, ran more half marathons, cheered for Rutgers Football every season, and eventually got married! We chose to get married at the Kirkpatrick Chapel as a symbol of where it all began. We've been together for almost 9 years now, all thanks to Rutgers!"⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #RutgersPride #RURahRah ⚔️
