Meet Abi Newell! 👋 Her coach surprised her with the news that she will be playing in this year's PURE Insurance Championship as a representative of the First Tee. Abi is from Houston, Texas and just started her senior year of high school. Her future career goals include becoming an Art Museum Conservator. From volunteering at the Northeast Houston Community Center to maintaining a 4.29 GPA, she can do it all. Through her time at the First Tee of Greater Houston, Abi has recognized her unique skillset. "Because of First Tee I am a game changer. Literally. When I volunteer at First Tee classes every Saturday, I have learned that whatever game is set up on my station might not work for all the participant’s skill levels. I recognize the diversity we have in each class, and adapt," Abi said.
