We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jerry D. Smith yesterday at the age of 78. Jerry was the Chairman of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame in 2016-2017 and was a wonderful servant of the game. In lieu of flowers, his family has asked for consideration in making a donation in Jerry’s memory to support a scholarship program in conjunction with the SA West Texas Invitational Junior Tournament at Odessa CC this summer. Each year, a male and female junior golfer playing in the tournament is randomly drawn to win a $2,500 college scholarship. Click the link in our bio to support this worthy initiative. At this time no service information is available. Jerry will be deeply missed by all of us who have been fortunate to consider him our friend and colleague. Please keep the Smith family in your thoughts and prayers.
