The airport has been in discussions to add a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, for three years after the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded an $800,000 grant in Feb. 2020. $150,000 also came from MoDOT as well as $80,000 from the city of Columbia and MU each. @KOMUnews
