On This Day: April 11th In 1971, Charles Coody claimed his first and only Major Championship win at Augusta National. Finishing TheMasters Tournament at (-9), he was two strokes ahead of runners-up Johnny Miller and Jack Nicklaus. The three players battled on the back nine to make it an interesting Sunday, but Coody came away with the Green Jacket.
