As we continue to mourn the loss of Jack Burke Jr., we want to remember him during this time for his amazing life and accomplishments in golf. The year was 1952. He's pictured here after winning his third consecutive event in a row at the Houston Open. He would then go on to win the Texas Open as well the following week. This impressive feat of winning four events in a row is second all-time in pgatour history only to Byron Nelson's streak of nine. The four consecutive events he won were the St. Petersburg Open, Baton Rouge Open, Houston Open, and Texas Open. This highlight year was capped off with winning the Vardon Trophy and Player of the Year. We urge you to take a look at his digital museum exhibit at the link in our bio for wonderful photos and videos of Mr. Burke.
