Today is the final round of the @uswomensopen! The @texas.golf.hof is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sandra Haynie’s remarkable victory at the 1974 U.S. Women’s Open. Haynie, who currently serves as a special advisor to the TGA, carded a 72-hole total of 295 (+7) at La Grange Country Club, located southwest of Chicago, to win the 1974 championship by one stroke over Beth Stone and fellow Texas Golf Hall of Famer Carol Mann.
