Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) Update The MGA has announced the upcoming departure of longtime executive director and chief operating officer, Tom Ryan. Ryan plans to retire from the association following the hiring of a successor later this year. He has served the association for more than two decades and will remain on board through the planned leadership transition. A search committee is being formed, and the MGA has engaged the Orion Search Group, an Edina-based executive search firm, to assist the committee in filling the leadership position. “Minnesota golf is thriving, and the MGA is well positioned to continue its growth with an enhanced mission of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, ensuring that we welcome all golfers to the game,” Ede Rice, president of the MGA, said. In addition to the leadership transition, the MGA has plans to relocate to a new suite space effective in March.
