He became the first HBCU player to win the coveted Golden Spikes Award as the nation’s best collegiate player. Chosen second overall in the 2003 MLB Draft, Weeks played 14 MLB seasons, was a 2011 NL All-Star, and ranks among the Brewers’ career top ten in several categories.
