Rutgers held its annual Scarlet Service celebration on Thursday evening, recognizing the 150 students who worked alongside state and national policymakers, tackled food insecurity issues, provided guidance for at-risk youth, and made a difference in many other ways as interns this past summer. “In serving these internships, you represented not only yourselves but also this university,” President Jonathan Holloway told the students and their families at the College Avenue Student Center. “You did so with skill, enthusiasm, and compassion. We are grateful for the work that you have done and for the ways you have invested yourselves in this idea. Boy, do you give me hope.” #scarletservice
