For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Cheryl and Bruce Dyer ✨ "Rutgers brought my parents together during their freshman year. They both lived in the river dorms and met at some point during the fall semester of 1974. They were married in 1977 and this August will be celebrating 45 years together. My mom is a retired school superintendent and school administrator and holds an additional 2 Masters Degrees from Rutgers, graduating in 1983 and again in 2009. She is active in her community, especially teaching knitting and working with the Women’s Club of Brick and serves as an educational consultant. My dad graduated with a political science and business degree and has owned his own businesses and now works in Real Estate for the last 6 years. He is the best “Poppy” to his adoring fans, his grandchildren. Their Rutgers love did end with them as many years later, I also graduated from Rutgers College in 2008.
