For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have @shrutilake & @paul.lake ✨ "I met my husband Paul in the spring of 1996 at Rutgers. We met in Conditioning & Learning in the rat lab on the Busch campus. Once our eyes met, I knew I wanted to marry him. We went on our first date to Maritas Cantina across from the train station. Paul later proposed to me in the fall of ‘97 behind the Douglass Chapel on the big green on a moonlit night. After he gave me dozen red-tip yellow roses and dropped to his one knee, everything else was a blur. We married summer of 1998 and have three wonderful children. Two of our beautiful daughters, Sofia and Hannah, are attending Rutgers right now, and our last one, Gregory, has been accepted to RU for the fall of ‘21. Forever grateful to Rutgers for giving me memories that will last a lifetime and the best gift - my Family, whom I’ll cherish for a lifetime! In this family, we bleed Scarlett! Go Knights!"
