For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Marcus & Yuanyuan ✨ "These two love birds/nerds met in 2014 at Rutgers Business School Ph.D. orientation. Marcus lived near Rutgers-New Brunswick (where he got his undergraduate), while Yuanyuan lived near Rutgers-Newark, so their circles did not overlap to begin with. However, Marcus came to Yuanyuan’s birthday party once. It was not until the end of the second year when they both passed the qualifying exams that Yuanyuan invited Marcus for a football game at Red Bull stadium (she did not know what to do with that extra ticket, lol). After the game, Marcus looked at the sparkling sky and began his 'lecture' on thermal physics (his original major in undergraduate) and developmental psychology (his other major). Yuanyuan instantly fell in love with this nerd, and ever since then, Marcus could not get rid of Yuanyuan and her endless curiosity.
