The players' and PTPA’s legal complaints reveal a number of critical issues plaguing tennis. By locking players into their dominant design, the tours stifle any opportunities for free market competition. This means stifling individual tournaments' ability to compete for players' services with higher prize money, more favorable scheduling, and other beneficial conditions.
