đŸŽ¶ Let’s go girls! đŸŽ¶ Time to make herstory at the LA28 Games! For the first time in the 128-year history of women competing in the Olympics, the athlete quota for women exceeds that of men, meaning that more women than men will compete in Los Angeles 2028! This is made possible by all team sports having at least the same number of women’s teams as men’s. LA28 will see the addition of a seventh women’s Boxing weight class and two additional women’s Water Polo teams, creating gender parity in these two sports for the first time. Additionally, the tournament size for Football (Soccer) is set at 16 women’s teams and 12 men’s. We’re so excited to continue to elevate and celebrate female athletes on the global stage and can’t wait for the women to BRING IT in 2028. #LA28 đŸ”„
