Since Bashar Assad’s fall in December, 850,000 Syrian refugees have returned home from neighboring countries, according to the UN Refugee Agency.
An additional 1.7 million internally displaced Syrians have also gone back to their communities.
These returns mark the largest movement of people back to Syria in over a decade of conflict.
