For #HispanicHeritageMonth, we've asked students to write an open letter detailing their heritage, their loved ones they share it with, and the lands they come from. Take the time to learn these stories as we share them over the next few weeks ❤️ Meet Alexandra Ramirez, a @rutgersbschool student majoring in finance. "Dear El Salvador, Mi Patria Sagrada, saying goodbye to you was one of the most challenging days of my life. Everyday that goes by I miss the beauty of your rivers, your volcanoes, your cuisine, but especially your people. Walking around those golden streets I miss smiling at that lady full of wisdom who would always greet me with a sweet 'buenos dias.' I miss how, on the way home, differentiating the blue sky from the blue ocean became easier and easier as we got closer to that feeling of home sweet home. Or perhaps I miss my everyday culture that I never thought I would leave. Others say We bring the culture, or We are the culture… But honestly, it is hard to keep that...
