In this edition of #WhatRUMadeOf, we had the privilege of speaking to Shayla McQueen (@crwn.shay), a class of 2023 @rutgersbschool student majoring in Marketing ⭐️ Going through the college journey allowed her to learn the importance of education, faith, and family unity. “My grandmother dedicated 20 years to the Newark Public School system. During that time, she never hesitated to help the children of Newark by providing clothes and shoes or being a caring grandmother figure to some. Experiencing her relentless effort to give back to the community influenced me to do the same and be a part of something bigger than myself.” Be sure to check back in throughout #BlackHistoryMonth for more student stories! 🗣️
