To celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, we want to take a moment to remember Charlie Sifford and to showcase the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption. Charlie set the stage for minority golfers by being the first ever African-American golfer to win on the @PGATOUR. He was a hero to many, including Hall of Fame member @TigerWoods. Tiger announced in 2017 the renaming of the exemption which is to give a golfer representing a minority background the opportunity to play in the annual event. This year’s exemption goes to @mbyrd.10 from the @apgatour to play in this week's @thegenesisinv. Thank you to Charlie and all of those who paved the way for minority golfers on the TOUR today. ⛳
