For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Carmen & Werny Castro ✨ "Our story began in 1995 on the Busch Campus. Our paths collided at Sonny Werblin gym one Sunday morning when we least expected it. As I sat and waited for my roommate to finish her workout, this stranger politely insisted that I was in his way. I moved from one machine to another to escape his path without much success. As it turned out, he was doing “super sets” and not following me around as I suspected. Who knew?! The brief encounter led to a request for my number (this was pre-cell phones), and the rest is history. Werny and I have been married for 23 years and have 3 kids, two of which have attended Rutgers. We are grateful for the chance encounter so many years ago that created our little Rutgers Family."
